"Annam" Project

All the students of our school bring two packets of food each for one week-one packet for the student and second packet for the "Annam" project.The additional packets of food are collected by NSS volunteers and distributed to the side lined people in an orphanage in the neighbourhood of our school.

 

WEEKLY CAMPUS NEWSPAPER

The NSS volunteers of our school started a mission of publishing a weekly newspaper on all Mondays named 'NSS VOICE'

NSS STALL

The NSS volunteers made  a profit of Rs.8000/- from NSS stall on school arts festival  and sports days.

TRAINING FOR SWIMMING

The NSS Male volunteers got training for swimming as a disaster manage programme on Gandhi Jayanthi day.The Panchayat President inaugurated the programme.

ORNAMENTS MAKING WORSHOP

The NSS female volunteers acquired the art and skill of making six types of ornaments through a full day workshop on Gandhi jayanthi day as a women empowerment programme.

SCHOOL VEGETABLE GARDEN PROJECT

The NSS volunteers prepared a school vegetable garden with the help of experienced farmers and with financial aid from agricultural department as part of krishikkoottam project.

GANDHI JAYANTHI DAY INAUGURATION

The Gandhi Jayanthi day celebrations inaugurated by Sri.P.M Mathew ,Block panchayat Member.The day celebrations became meaningful by Ornaments making workshop as a skill development programme for girls and training for swimming as a disaster management programme.

MUSHROOM PREPARED FOR MEALS

 Mushroom produced by NSS volunteers prepared in the school kitchen for meals and given to 35 staffs .

GUPPY FISH DISTRIBUTION

As part of NSS day celebrations we distributed Guppy fish pairs to the staff and students.

STAFF HEALTH CARE PROGRAMME INAUGURATION

As part of NSS day celebrations we inugurated a 'Staff Health Care Programme' by measuring the B.P of staff secratery.Four NSS volunteers were trained to take the B.M.I and B.P .The trained Nss volunteers will conduct weekly medical inspection and record the data on a register.

NSS DAY CELEBRATIONS

NSS day celebrations started with flag hoisting .Then conducted a public meeting by the volunteers .Various cultural programmes were also conducted as part of NSS  day

KRISHIKOOTTAM PROJECT

                  Inauguration of   'oru veedinu oru adukkalathottam'  Project by Panchayat president in presense of agricultural officer. Vegetable seed packets distributed to all the staff and students as the extention of our 'krishikkoottam' project named as 'oru veedinu oru adukkalathottam'

Waste management Workshop

 

The waste management Workshop Inagurated by Sri.Sabu Mathew ,HSST Botony,OLLHSS Uzhavoor and the workshop lead by Sri.Mathew M.Kuriakose ,HSST Botony,St.Thomas HSS ,Pala.As a product of this workshop the school decided to implement a Bio- Gas plant by using the waste from school so as to use the gas in chemistry lab. and school kitchen as an NSS Programme.At the end of the session the  NSS Volunteeers took a Pledge for managing the waste at the source with lighted candle

Haritha Sparsam

 Inaguration of Haritha Sparsam project  by Rev.Fr. George Puthupparambil, School Manager in the presence of Principal ,PTA president and panchayat member.Saplings planted along public road side with iron cage protection with an attractive board showing the project name and sponsorship.Rs.15000/- sponsored by SBT Uzhavoor

3 Day Workshop

3 days workshop inclding mushroom cultivation training,Soap.soap powder,liquid soap production training,planting saplings along public road side with iron cage protection by sponsoring Rs.15000. by SBT Uzhavoor,Body mass index programme and waste management training , inagurated by sri.P.L Abraham,President,Uzhavoor Grama Panchayat.

ORMAKKU ORU MARAM

 MANAGER,PRINCIPAL AND ALL THE TEACHING AND NON TEACHING STAFFS OF OUR SCHOOL PLANTED TREES AS PART OF "ORMAKKU ORU MARAM" PROJECT IN THE SCHOOL CAMPUS UNDER THE LEADERSHIP OF NSS VOLUNTEERS.
